Post 1-Teenagers Don't Get Lice, right?

Freedom-I had it, for years I had it and, it was glorious. Did I appreciate it? No! I squandered my time away like a gambler, spending way too much time watching Netflix, or Hulu, or Prime, really whatever was on. Don't get me wrong, I worked. I baked fresh bagels and english muffins, cleaned my house, cooked healthy meals but when I sat down to concentrate on my career, writing, marketing myself as a speaker, both markets that are super duper hard to break into, I sat at my computer, hemmed and hawed, picked at my cuticles and then took a nap. I had time...right? HA!
My IUD failed and I gave birth to the unexpected third child. Freedom? What that?
I was hanging in there though, I love my baby and my teenagers and was making it work, with lots of prayer and an 8 o'clock bedtime, for me! Hey, I'm forty-four years old and I'm tired. Last month though, my life kind-of imploded, my sweet cherub got sick. She got the worst possible cold a 21 month old could get. It was so bad she was asking ME to suck the boogers out of her nose in the middle of the night, Poor kid :( This cold lasted for three, clingy, get up in the middle of the night and hang on mommy all day weeks! UGH! And on top of all that, one of my teenagers got lice.
Teenagers don't get lice, right? That's what I thought. Two hours a day, for two days, during the baby's nap time, I combed and picked. It was nice to spend that much time with my busy teenager but really, I would have rather been doing anything else with her.
On top of all that, the baby got an infection in her thumb which she needed antibiotics for and I almost chopped my finger off. I'm kidding, it was merely a flesh wound, but it bled like crazy.
After last month I was spent, tapped, kaput, give me sleep already. Mommy needed a time out. So I took it, I took a break...wanna know what I did? I got a hotel room, and spent one glorious day and night by myself. Ahhhh Freedom, it's only for a night but Ahhhh!
Changing to a ND-prescribed nutritional plan is hard, hard, hard—but can be life-changingly worth it. Thank you for sharing your struggles and journey!

From what I have been reading. In the book Let food be your medicine by Dr Colbert sometimes it could be an inflammatory issue in your body and you body is letting it show on your skin. You eat pretty healthy but who knows you maybe eating a healthy thing like peppers for example that is causing inflammation in your gut /intestine. Just a thought. Love your work! Dawn R
I would not take the same injection but would ask the doctor for other options.
