A New Dream

At the end of January last year, I missed out on many things. I wasn't able to attend my son's dance-off, a fierce yearly competition between classes, in which the kids themselves choreograph and perform. I wasn't well enough to see my son play our favorite instrument, the drums, in his midwinter band concert. I missed the girls that attend my middle school bible study, and wasn't well enough to have meals with my husband and children. I missed being able to do the everyday tasks of cooking, laundry and carpooling. I even missed my children's banter, something that on a normal day can be aggravating.

Now, because I was given the opportunity to miss my life, I appreciate it much more. I have learned that life is gift that should not be squandered.

C.S. Lewis writes. "You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream."

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, I have a new goal. I will embrace life with reckless abandonment. I will write, even though my grammar is not always on point. Speak, even though my words are not perfect. Cook meals, even though I am not a chef and search Pinterest daily for recipes. Lead bible study, even though I am tired. Hug my children because there is nothing better, and endure their banter because soon, too soon, they will have left the nest. Today, I have a new dream. To live life to the fullest.

Changing to a ND-prescribed nutritional plan is hard, hard, hard—but can be life-changingly worth it. Thank you for sharing your struggles and journey!

From what I have been reading. In the book Let food be your medicine by Dr Colbert sometimes it could be an inflammatory issue in your body and you body is letting it show on your skin. You eat pretty healthy but who knows you maybe eating a healthy thing like peppers for example that is causing inflammation in your gut /intestine. Just a thought. Love your work! Dawn R

I would not take the same injection but would ask the doctor for other options.
